Sitelinks Search Box schema is a type of structured data markup that enables a search box to appear directly within a website’s search result listing, allowing users to search the site directly from the search engine results page itself.
This feature is typically available only for a site’s homepage listing, and generally requires that the site has strong overall authority and a well-established brand presence to be eligible for display.
When it does appear, the Sitelinks Search Box can meaningfully improve user experience by allowing very specific searches to bypass the initial site landing page and go directly to relevant internal content.
We implement this schema type where eligible within our Technical SEO service.
