Server-side rendering (SSR) is a web development approach where a page’s full HTML content is generated on the server and sent to the browser already complete, as opposed to being built in the browser after the page loads.
SSR is generally considered more SEO-friendly than client-side rendering, since search engine crawlers receive fully-formed HTML content immediately, without needing to execute JavaScript to see the page’s actual content, reducing the risk of indexing issues.
Many modern JavaScript frameworks now offer SSR or hybrid rendering options specifically to address the SEO limitations that purely client-side rendered websites have historically faced.
