Scroll Depth

Scroll depth is a metric measuring how far down a page visitors actually scroll, typically tracked as percentage milestones (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) to understand how much of a page’s content is genuinely being seen and read.

Low scroll depth on a long, content-rich page can indicate that visitors aren’t finding the content engaging enough to continue reading, or that important information is buried too far down the page to be seen by most visitors.

Scroll depth data helps inform content structure decisions, such as moving key information higher up the page or breaking up long blocks of text to encourage continued reading.

We use scroll depth insights to refine content structure within our SEO Content Strategy service.
