Redirect Loop

A redirect loop occurs when a URL redirects to a second URL, which then redirects back to the original URL (or cycles through a series of URLs endlessly), preventing the page from ever actually loading for users or search engines.

Redirect loops are a critical technical error that completely blocks access to the affected page, typically caused by misconfigured redirect rules, conflicting plugins, or HTTPS migration errors.

Because redirect loops make a page entirely inaccessible, they should be treated as an urgent priority fix, since the affected page effectively becomes invisible to both users and search engines until resolved.

We identify and resolve redirect loops as part of our Technical SEO service.
