A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a group of websites, often built on expired domains with existing authority, created and controlled by a single entity purely to build backlinks to a main “money” site, artificially inflating its rankings.
PBNs are explicitly against Google’s guidelines and carry substantial risk: Google has become increasingly effective at detecting the technical and content patterns common to PBNs, and discovery can result in both the PBN sites and the sites they link to being penalized or deindexed entirely.
Given the significant risk of a catastrophic, hard-to-recover ranking loss, PBNs are considered a black-hat tactic best avoided in favor of sustainable, white-hat link building approaches.
We exclusively pursue legitimate link acquisition methods through our Link Building service, never PBNs.
