Mobile-Friendly Test

The Mobile-Friendly Test was a free tool provided by Google that allowed website owners to check whether a specific page met Google’s mobile usability standards, flagging issues like unreadable text, tap targets that were too small, or content wider than the screen.

While Google has since retired the standalone tool in favor of integrating mobile usability data directly into Search Console and PageSpeed Insights, the underlying mobile-friendliness standards it checked for remain just as relevant today.

Regularly checking mobile usability through Search Console’s reporting helps catch issues early, particularly after a redesign or theme update that might inadvertently break mobile responsiveness.

Mobile-friendliness checks are a standard part of our Technical SEO audits.
