Fetch and render refers to the capability within Google Search Console’s URL Inspection tool that requests a specific page exactly as Googlebot would, then displays the fully rendered output, including any JavaScript-generated content.
This feature is particularly valuable for diagnosing JavaScript SEO issues, since it reveals whether content that appears fine to a human visitor is actually rendering correctly and completely for Google’s crawler.
Comparing the fetched and rendered version of a page against what a regular browser displays helps identify discrepancies that could be preventing important content from being properly indexed.
We use fetch and render testing within our Technical SEO service.
