Exit Rate

Exit rate is the percentage of visits to a specific page that end with the visitor leaving the website entirely from that page, regardless of how many other pages they may have viewed earlier in that same session.

Exit rate differs from bounce rate: a page can have a high exit rate simply because it’s a natural end point in a user’s journey (such as a thank-you page after a purchase), rather than indicating a problem.

High exit rates on pages that should logically lead further into a conversion funnel — such as a product page or pricing page — often signal a genuine friction point worth investigating and addressing.
