Domain Authority (DA)

Domain Authority (DA) is a metric developed by Moz that scores a website from 1 to 100, predicting how likely that domain is to rank well in search engine results. It’s calculated based on factors like the number and quality of backlinks pointing to the site.

It’s important to understand that Domain Authority is not a Google ranking factor — Google doesn’t use DA at all. It’s a third-party estimate used by SEOs as a rough proxy for a site’s overall authority and competitiveness, useful for comparing your site against competitors.

A rising DA over time is often a good sign of a healthy link-building and content strategy, but it should never be treated as a goal in itself. Two sites with identical DA scores can have very different actual search performance depending on content relevance and technical health.

Our link building campaigns are designed to grow authority in ways that translate into real ranking and revenue improvements, not just a higher DA number.
