307 Redirect

A 307 redirect is a temporary redirect status code, similar in purpose to a 302 redirect, but with a stricter technical requirement that the original HTTP request method (such as POST or GET) must be preserved exactly when following the redirect.

Like a 302, a 307 redirect signals to search engines that a move is temporary, generally not passing full ranking authority to the destination URL the way a permanent 301 redirect would.

307 redirects are less commonly encountered in typical website configurations than 301s or 302s, but understanding the distinction matters for developers working with specific server configurations or APIs that require strict request method preservation.
